"I Am Asking For Your Vote On November 4th"
Dear fellow residents:
This November 4th is by far the most historic and important election most of us have ever seen and been involved in, in our life so far. Many things will be decided this year that will effect all of our lives, our families, friends, economy, national security, family values, personal safety, education, personal freedoms, civil rights, and just about everything else that we hold precious as New Hampshire residents and as Americans. The mere thought that our vote doesn't count and we all, are just powerless and must settle for whatever the powers that be, hand us, couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is, that this election, people will be coming out in record numbers to express one of their most precious freedoms on Earth, to vote, and I am urging you to join them and express your right.
My name is John Hikel and I am running for New Hampshire State Representative. I am asking for your vote on November 4th. I am a fiscal conservative and I am running as a Republican and will truly do my best to represent all of the people of district 7 from Goffstown and Weare. My core beliefs are to preserve the New Hampshire Advantage by having No Sales Tax and No Income Tax as well as responsible government spending. I am for a strong economic environment favorable to all business, large or small.
I stand firm on traditional family values and believe that marriage is a sacred event between a man and a woman.
I believe that an education that prepares our youth to be ready to compete on a global level is paramount and is the building block of a strong New Hampshire future and parents should have the choice of how and where their children will be educated, be it public, private, charter, religious, or home school and be offered vouchers or tax credits to help pay the expenses. I also think the funding of education should be settled by the peoples governing representatives and not in courts. Furthermore, I believe that federally mandated education programs should be paid for by the federal government and not cause an undue burden to state and local government and their taxpayers.
I support the United States Constitution as well as the present 10 and subsequent 17 bill of rights. I support that English should be and remain our official language in government as well as schools.
I support the 2nd amendment right to bear arms and find no reason to restrict gun use or ownership by any law abiding US citizen.
I am presently serving as an elected Goffstown Budget Committee member for the 4th year, a 5 year member of the Goffstown Rotary Club, Governor appointed position on the Citizen's Advisory Committee at the woman's state prison in Goffstown, Medallion Fund advisor for the NH Charitable Trust, and founding member of the NH MicroCredit group, "Synergy"
I reside at my home in Goffstown and work hard as a small business owner in Pinardville at Uptown Auto Repair. My hobbies are golf, skiing, bicycling, fishing, gardening, and enjoy participating in local community events.
I would like to thank all of the people who have offered their support toward my campaign for the State House thus far and promise to do my best to bring the ideas and concerns of all people from Goffstown and Weare to be heard loud and clear in Concord. Please feel free to contact me via the email form below or by phone at 860-7891 with your ideas.
All citizens alike, Republicans, Democrats, and Undecided, I am asking for your support and your vote on November 4th
